Our Core Values
-
Our Relationship With God
We Value our Relationship with God - Human beings are created to love and be loved by God. We grow in our relationship with God through prayer, reading scripture and fellowship with His people. Genesis 1:26 1 John 4:19 Ephesians 3:17-19 Romans 5:8 Matthew 22:35-40.
-
Our Relationships With others
We value our Relationships with others - We are God’s gift to each other. To encourage, inspire and help each other in life as we pursue God’s mission in the world. John 15:9 Matthew 28:18-20 Matthew 22:35-40.
-
Prayer
We value Prayer - Prayer is the life blood of our relationship with God. How can we have a relationship with Him if we don’t talk to Him? We approach God with both reverence for a Holy God, but also the intimacy of a child climbing onto a parents lap. The being that created everything that has been created calls us to talk with Him, give thanks to Him and bring our worries and fears to Him. Philippians 4:6 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Jeremiah 33:3 1 Timothy 2:1-4.
-
Led by the holy spirit
We value being Led by the Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit is active in the life of the church. He is the guiding, empowering presence that leads the Church in its mission. We seek to listen, respond, and be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s leading. Romans 5:5 John 14:26 Acts 2:38 Acts 1:8 Titus 2:11-14.
-
Biblically based
We value the Bible. The Bible is the story of God and His people. It shapes how we view our identity, our relationships, and our purpose in this world. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Romans 15:4.
